Citizen Deluxe Para Water
Citizen Deluxe Para Water
1959 –1970
The Citizen Parawater was Japan's first waterproof watch, introduced in 1959. It featured Citizen's Deluxe movement with 19 jewels and represented a significant technological advancement for Japanese watchmaking at the time. The term 'Para Water' was Citizen's version of 'waterproof' and was used until around 1970 when regulations required the use of 'water resistant' instead.
